Screen dimensions cover the whole uploaded image, including toolbars. Standard iPad outlines use Apple drawing dimensions and cover the bezel. In landscape the Home button is on the right; in portrait it is at the bottom. Models with a Home button get a 14.6 mm circular opening automatically. Select “Home button (delete to block)” and Delete selected to cover it. Every cutting opening is 1 mm inside its detected cell edge on each side, leaving the existing gap plus 2 mm of material between adjacent cells. For Other device, the border extends beyond the measured screen. Outer guard corners have a fixed 5 mm radius. The thick PDF outline is the outer edge of the guard: compare it with your case. Screen offsets not explicitly dimensioned by Apple use centred estimates: check the paper proof on your device. The outline uses the iPad’s overall width and height with the requested 5 mm corner radius; it is not a case or an exact moulded corner profile.

Detection follows complete cell borders and ignores text and symbols inside them. The long message box is included as one opening. Select an opening to move it, or use its green top, bottom, left and right handles to resize. The magenta bottom-right handle keeps its proportions. Add a circle and stretch it into an oval using the edge handles. Use the numbered selector and measurements below for precise or keyboard editing.

Print the PDF on A4 landscape at Actual size / 100%. Measure its 100 mm check line. Large designs span overlapping sheets. Try the paper pattern on your device and check each opening.

SVG and DXF use millimetres and include the outer outline and rounded openings. Cutting settings, kerf compensation, material and mounting need separate review. Save layout JSON before leaving; the editor does not save browser drafts automatically.
